Authorities in southern Illinois are searching for a bank robbery suspect.
Wayne County Sheriffs deputies say a man used a gun to hold up the Bean Capitol Bank in Wayne City around 3 Wednesday afternoon. Deputies report the suspect handed the teller a note then flashed a pistol.
They are looking for a white man in his mid 30s, clean shaven with dark brown hair. He was wearing a black leather jacket and jeans at the time.
He used a Dodge Caravan with damage on the drivers side, no hub caps or rims. He was last seen westbound on Illinois 15 heading toward Mount Vernon, Illinois.
