KIRBY2007-04-16-1176769106.JPGA Pike county man pleaded not guilty to possession of child pornography and child exploitation. Investigators say they found three-thousand pornographic pictures of children on 33-year old Steven Kirby's computer. Kirby is also accused of soliciting people from other states to bring minors to Indiana-- so he could molest them. Chief Deputy Prosecutor Beth Hatfield says Kirby faces ten counts of child exploitation and ten counts of possession of child pornography. Its the most counts ever filed in the County against one individual. An investigation of the suspect began last year after a woman found sexually explicit online messages between Kirby and her 11-year old daughter. The next phase will be a pre-trial hearing on May 31 when both sides will get together and discuss the case. Kirby is currently being held on a $1,000,000 cash-only bond.
