The latest information is that there are six people dead, four men and 2 women. The seventh victim, who is a woman, is at an Evansville hospital Were told shes in stable condition. Police say she was up walking and talking at the scene of the accident, and was able to speak with investigators at the hospital. Were also told that she had multiple gun shot wounds, but is not in critical condition. Police say an angry employee at Atlantis Plastics fired shots at 6 co-workers, then killed himself. According to witnesses the employee had an argument with a supervisor he actually shot outside the plant and then shot the rest of the victims inside. Witnesses also say the gunman left the building after the first argument he had with the supervisor, then returned 30 minutes later with a 45 caliber semi-automatic handgun. According to police, 34 employees were on duty at Atlantis Plastics Tuesday night. Two victims died on the scene, the rest at different hospitals. Police say theyve heard the suspect may have had previous altercations with a few of the victims. They say that all victims except for the supervisor and gunman were Hispanic. Investigators say theyre still trying to contact family members of the victims, and are having a difficult time. A news conference is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Wednesday.
