Change of Venue for Daniel Wilkes Trial

A man accused of murdering three people on Evansvilles west side nearly a year ago will not have his case heard in Vanderburgh County.
Daniel Wilkes is accused of killing Donna Claspell and her two daughters last April.
Shortly after the murders, he confessed to the crime in media interviews.
Vanderburgh Circuit Judge Carl Heldt says extensive media coverage has made it impossible for Wilkes to get a fair trial in Vanderburgh County.
Now the case is moving to Clark County.
It is set to begin in Cctober.
Wilkes faces the death penalty, if convicted.
