Vectren will get to raise its electric rates, but not as much as originally wanted. In a compromise with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, Vectren will bring in about $60 million in additional annual revenue. Vectren requested rate increases that would bring in closer to $90 million. The utility provider says it needs the money in part to upgrade its infrastructure. As part of the rate increase deal, Vectren will add new payment sites where customers can pay their bills in person.
