Indiana Legislation Approved

A late night for the Indiana House and Senate.
Just before midnight Sunday, the Indiana General Assembly passed a $26 billion, two-year budget bill to end the session.
Lawmakers also passed legislation to raise the cigarette tax by 44 cents per pack to fund health care initiatives...along with a bill approving slot machines at horse racing tracks, funding for all-day kindergarten and a $550 million property tax relief bill.
The half-billion dollar fee for the slot machines will pay for the property tax relief.
Monday the Governor praised the legislators hard work and accomplishments toward progress for Indiana.
