Changing construction plans on the twin bridges wasnt Governor Fletchers only reason for coming to the tri-state.
Fletcher presented a $14 million check to the city of Owensboro for their riverfront renovation.
This money will go to securing the banks of the Ohio River so the city can start building up the area.
The renovation is already underway at English Park where a new overlook and boat ramp is going in.
Fletcher also presented checks for a widening project on Kentucky 2121, the Horse Fork Creek Trail Development, and other resurfacing projects on Daviess County roads.
