Calling it "unacceptable," President Bush has vetoed a war funding bill that sets timetables for withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq.
Addressing the country on national television, Bush said the measure "substitutes the opinions of politicians" for decisions by military commanders.
He also claims it would send a message that America cant keep its promises.
Bushs rejection of the bill now sets up a battle with Congress as to how to fund the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
