Busy Warrick County School Board Meeting

The Warrick County School Board heard emotional pleas in two separate cases Monday night.
Jasmine Yung and her student American Civil Liberties Union representative, Jenna Reed, told the board they didnt think it was fair that Castle High School didnt let her attend the prom in a tuxedo.
She had worn a tuxedo to another school dance.
In the other issue, Castle parent Russ Howard complained that he wanted an apology from football coach Doug Hurt and the Principal, but he got only an apology from an assistant principal.
Howard said football coach Hurt shoved his son in an inappropriate manner.
Were told Hurt defended himself in a meeting with an assistant principal.
Both of these issues came up during the public comment period.
They were not on the regular agenda.
As of news time, the board had not taken any action on either case.
