In our busy lives, we rarely take time to sit still, be quiet, and think, but what would we gain if we did? A class for cancer patients and survivors at St. Marys explores that question. Be in the moment. Thats the lesson to learn from "Restorative Rest"-, a class taught by Ruby Sneed at the St. Marys Hope Cancer Resource Center. Its part Pilates, part mindful meditation. Lofty words transport listeners to a place of peace. The class gives participants an opportunity to feel restored, ready to live moment by moment. Breast cancer survivor Cookie Smith says she comes for a much-needed sense of strength and balance. To learn more about "restorative rest," you can contact St. Marys or check out the instructors website. Its restorativerest.com
