Jury selection got underway in Clay County Indiana Wednesday in the sentencing trial of Roy Lee Ward.
Ward pleaded guilty last week to raping and murdering 15 year old Stacy Payne.
It happened in Dale in 2001.
Ward was convicted and sentenced to death in 2002, but that was overturned due to pre-trial publicity.
A re-trial was scheduled to start this week, but Ward entered a guilty plea last Thursday.
Now a jury will decide his sentence.
Ward is still eligible to receive the death penalty.
Jury selection is expected to last a couple of days.
