EVSC Close to Naming Superintendent?

Its been a tough search for just the right person to lead the EVSC, but it appears the district might have a new superintendent. The school board has scheduled a rare Saturday meeting. The only item on the agenda is "Superintendent Update." On Monday, the school board voted to begin contract negotiations with Doctor Vincent Bertram, who currently works for the Lafayette school system. Since then, EVSC members have said they were cautiously optimistic with the way the process was going.
