Livestock, carnival rides and a garden tractor pull were all part of opening day at the Gibson County Fair on Sunday. It is the 153rd year for the fair. Visitors got the chance to take in their favorite ride, game or meal, as well as take a chopper ride. As always, 4-H and open class exhibits were available, and its these events that honorary director Bob Schmits says always brings out a crowd. Monday night is senior night those over 60 receive a discount. Several tractor pulls are also scheduled tomorrow.
