Special Soy Sauce

An unusual ingredient turned up in a bottle of soy sauce at a Owensboro restaurant.
At the New China Buffet earlier this month, a bottle of soy sauce, became a bottle of special sauce when a 16 year old Daviess County high school student allegedly took a bottle to the bathroom, emptied half the contents, and then refilled it with urine.
The whole incident would have gone unnoticed, until the teen reportedly began to brag about the prank at school.
After allegedly confessing to soiling the sauce, police charged the teen with criminal mischief. Officers also confiscated 70 bottles of the condiment from the restaurant just to be on the safe side.
David Morton is a regular at the New China, but wasnt concerned at hearing news of the added ingredient.
He wasnt surprised at the news either. He worked in the restaurant business for years. This isnt the first time hes seen this kind of prank.
It was however, a first for New China Buffet. Owners of the restaurant, bought all new bottles of soy sauce, and arent angry at the teen. They just hope hes learned a lesson.
The incident wont stop loyal patrons like David from eating at New China Buffet, in fact, for him, the issue just worked up an appetite.
