Incidents over the weekend that killed ten soldiers brought the death toll for U.S. troops to 114 in the month.
In the worst incident, eight Americans died in action related to a helicopter crash.
A U.S. military helicopter was brought down by small arms fire, killing two.
Six soldiers in two different response teams were killed by roadside bombs while trying to make it to the crash site.
The U.S. military had already warned the number would increase this spring due to the recent security crackdown in Baghdad and a spring offensive by al-Qaeda.
