Keeping you safe while riding across the twin bridges.. It is a major concern that emergency officials addressed today at a press conference in Henderson. They began by addressing the dangerous cracks found in the right lane of the southbound bridge. Kentucky Highway officials say they will lay eight inches of asphalt down beginning Tuesday night at eight. While Kentucky State Police we be looking for aggressive drivers, people making lane changes, and those going over the speed limit. The three miles area from the state line to the Henderson city limit has the highest accident fatality rate. But police say they are worried about minor crashes....cars rear-ending each other. Because of that Henderson emergency management officials are also placing wreckers on the ends of the bridges during peak hours. But they say they will adjust their plans as needed as the work on the bridges continue.
