A Mt. Vernon, Indiana man fell to his death from a cell phone tower in Jacksonville, Florida Thursday.
According to Jacksonville-dot-com, 19-year-old Nicholas Fischer was killed instantly after falling 75 feet and landing on top of a utility shed.
Fisher was part of a four-man crew working to attach reinforcing rods to the 153-foot cell tower behind a Food Lion supermarket.
He was working for an Evansville company called Tower Reinforcement Inc.
The federal occupational safety and health administration is investigating to determine if proper safety procedures were followed.
