An Evansville man is facing several charges after police say he beat a woman until she lost consciousness.
It happened just before midnight in the 1500 block of South Saint James.
Investigators say they found blood spatters on two walls and a hole in another wall where the victims head was likely rammed into it.
A probable cause affidavit says Aaron Lafayette told them Cassandra Willis "went crazy" and hit her head on the wall.
The couples five children -- ages 2-to-6 -- apparently witnessed the beating and told police "daddy fought mommy."
Police have not said what the relationship is between Lafayette and Willis
