International Mystery Writers Festival

Hundreds of murder mystery fans from all over the country are in Owensboro.
Its all part of the international mystery writers festival going on at the Riverpark Center.
This is the first festival of its kind in the area.
Travis Estes with the Riverpark Center says, "The mystery festival is made up of 12 new works, discovering mystery, so its of the mystery genre."
The festival was the brainchild of the of the Centers CEO.
Estes says, "All of the mysteries on TV were doing well, but didnt exist in live theater, so he thought itd be a great idea to bring the mystery back to the live stage."
