Update - Bridge Headaches Continue

Motorists who plan to travel the US 41 Twin Bridges Northbound on their morning commute from Henderson to Evansville have some good news. About 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night TWO LANES were opened to NORTHBOUND traffic.
Crews were busy reworking lane markings for SOUTHBOUND TRAFFIC.
That work progressed quickly enough to allow NORTHBOUND traffic to flow on the EXTRA LANE of the southbound bridge.
Tonight, SOUTHBOUND remains ONE LANE, traveling in the center lane overnight. The SOUTHBOUND right-hand lane will remain closed to allow new asphalt on the south approach shoulder to harden. SOUTHBOUND TRAFFIC is expected to resume two lanes of daytime travel by about 10:00 a.m. THURSDAY.
Again, two lanes of traffic are now open NORTHBOUND on the US 41 Twin Bridges. Two lanes are expect to be open SOUTHBOUND by about 10:00 a.m., Thursday.
As a reminder, the speed limit on the bridges remains 35 miles per hour with double fines for speeding, aggressive driving, and other offenses. Area police agencies are continuing their stepped up patrols along the US 41 Corridor. The 35 mile per hour speed limit is in place to provide an improved margin of safety for both workers and motorists.
