Kentucky Kingdom Accident

A girls legs were severed when a thrill ride malfunctioned at the Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom amusement park in Louisville. Police say a cord severed the 13 year olds legs at her ankles while she was on the "Superman Tower of Power". The girl was taken to a local hospital. The park is still open, but officials shut down the ride until the full investigation is complete. During the ride, passengers are lifted to 177 feet, suspended momentarily and then dropped.
