The Roberts Stadium Advisory Committee met for the first time Wednesday evening
The committee is made up of about 20 community business leaders, politicians, and regular citizens.
Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel formed the committee to help advise Gateway Consulting, the firm hired to determine whether or not the city should renovate the 50-year-old building, or completely rebuild.
If rebuilding is the solution, a location needs to be determined.
If the renovation option is selected, issues like increasing seating and revamping the infrastructure would be necessary.
Either choice would cost millions of dollars.
With the advisory committees input, Gateway Consulting plans to bring a formal proposal to the mayor and the city early next year.
The board will meet again before the end of the summer. An open community forum is also planned for early July.
