Illinois Wage Increase

A new minimum wage is set in Illinois. Today, governor Rod Blagojevich announced that the states new minimum wage is $7.50 and hour. He says this should help nearly 650-thousand workers pay for basic necessities like groceries, rent, gas, childcare and medicines. The governor wants to also remind Illinoians that if they work for minimum wage and are not receiving it to contact the states department of labor.
