Indiana is handing out grants to school corporations to help pay for full-day kindergarten.
This fall full-day kindergarten is required across the state.
In total, 263 corporations and charter schools recieved about $665 per student.
14 schools in our area recieved money including the EVSC, North Gibson Schools, and the Joshua Academy.
The grant money does not pay for all the costs so schools and districts can still ask parents to pay fees for classes.
