Evansville Police Chase and Arrest

Evansville Police taser a suspected drunk driver after he led them on a car chase.
36 year old Tony Monks was arrested Sunday and taken to Vanderburgh county jail.
Police say when they tried to pull Monks over for no headlights he stopped but then sped away after the officer walked up to his car.
Monks eventually crashed into a fence and a car on Iowa Street but physically fought will police until they tasered him twice.
Officer Steve Green says he faces a long list of charges including driving while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement, battery on a law enforcement officer and failure to use his headlights and turn signal.
Monks also faces battery charges from two separate incidents earlier this month.
