Construction barrels, lane shifts, and slower speeds...drivers are seeing some big changes along Diamond Avenue.
Construction crews spent all day Wednesday making lane changes along Diamond Avenue, from US-41 to Pigeon Creek.
Workers have closed the west-bound lanes, and re-routed traffic onto the east-bound side. Workers are replacing the storm drainage system along the road. The project has about five phases and is scheduled to be finished later this year.
Workers ask drivers to use caution in the area. Speed limits along the stretch of roadway have been lowered to 30 mph.
