Alcohol may have been a factor in a collision between a car and pedestrian.
It happened on Columbia Street just after 9:00 Friday night.
According to police reports, driver Christine Gorman was traveling west on Columbia, when pedestrian Michael Ward stepped out in front of her vehicle.
Ward sustained serious injuries to his back and head and was taken to deaconess hospital where he remains tonight.
Gorman was arrested on a DUI charge.
Reports indicate her blood alcohol level was at .12.
Police also believe Ward was intoxicated as well.
He reportedly had a blood alcohol level of .35
Witnesses told officers he was seen passed out on a lawn before stepping out onto the roadway.
