Glena Kelley has been getting behind the wheel for more than 40 years., and she had an immaculate driving record, until last year. Kelley says, "Sometime back last year I got pulled over, the officer said I didnt have my seatbelt on, I did." Glena was ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt, and then two days later... "Another cop stops me, says I dont have my seatbelt on, gives me another ticket - by then im mad." So Glena decided to get a digital camera, install it on her dashboard, and take pictures with her own personal "traffic cam". Glena says she takes a picture every time she goes through a busy intersection. "My family and friends said, are you crazy? " The camera came in handy when she was ticketed earlier this year for going through a red light. "They said two cars in front of me ran the red light, then I ran it. I said no way it was green, the officer said no." But glena had snapped some pictures, which she took straight to traffic court. "I asked the judge how can that be? Ihave two pictures right here...the first one were all at a complete stop, the second shows its green." And the courts reaction? "The judge said not guilty...the pictures speak for themselves." Charges dismissed. "There was about 15 people up there for red light found guilty, Iwas the only one to walk away, cause I had proof." Glena says her fine would have been at least $500. The camera cost less than $200, so she says its already paid for itself.
