Mattels Fisher-Price unit is recalling over one-million Chinese-made toys due to possible lead contamination.
Mattel says many of the toys are in the U.S., but were made by a Chinese manufacturer who used paint containing lead.
Senior quality vice president Jim Walter says the recall may affect Mattels international market.
Mattel is urging consumers to contact Fisher-Price for a product return and replacement.
The toymaker also claims that 30-percent of the almost one-million toys recalled from the U.S., have already reached store shelves.
