Everyone has a story about a bully. You've either been the bully, or the one being bullied. A husband and wife , who rolled into the tri-state today know first hand what bullying is all about because they've been pushed and shoved around quite a bit. And, now thanks to a Jasper company they'll be able to truck their anti-bullying message to schools from coast to coast.
After 30 years in face paint Marvin Nash discovered clowns have an amazing ability to reach people. Nash says, “In today's society kids go get guns and kids blow things up and kids do drastic measures to problems that are bothering or concerning them, and so we just developed a process to help overcome those decisions, these unhealthy decisions about how to deal with problems." With the help of his wife, Marvin travels the country teaching high school students his anti-bullying program. Those high school students then mentor grade school children.
While Marvin's hoping to share his message in the tri-state, this day he's picking up a new truck, seems he met up with the folks at jasper engines at a recent convention. Tom Schrader the Marketing Manager at Jasper Engines says, "He approached us because he was needing a replacement engine for his truck and as we found out more about his program, we felt it was a very valuable program and something we hope the local schools could take advantage of and we decided to donate a truck we were going to retire from our fleet to his organization."
Marvin once rolled his rodeo barrel nearly 2000 miles to get out his anti-bullying message, now he has a moving billboard and four new wheels under his feet. If you'd like more information on the program go to www.bullyinghurts.com
