Evansville firefighters are investigation an afternoon fire at a business on Fulton Avenue.
Yurks and Associates sustained substantial damage to its building.
It all happened just after 2:00 Saturday afternoon.
Evansville firefighters arrived on the scene of Yurks and Associates formerly the LB Jones company after receiving calls about heavy clouds of smoke coming from the building.
Fire officials say no one was in the building at the time of the fire.
They did say workers for the pallet making business were reportedly in the building until 1:30.
Firefighters also say those same wooden pallets were stacked against the door made fighting the fire difficult, but they were able to attack the blaze pretty quickly.
Most damage was done on the southside and to the roof causing residents living near the structure and plenty of worries.
The companys foreman says the owner Seve Yrks is currently out of town.
Fire officials say they do not know the cause of the fire at this time.
They expect to know more later in the week.
