Police arrested an Evansville man Thursday after they found meth-making gear in his daughters bedroom. Neighbors told police strong smells were coming from the home at 4-11 maxwell and that items used to cook meth were inside a 12 year olds bedroom. During an investigation, James Higdon allowed police inside. Police say after finding meth on Higdon, he allowed them to search his home. The report lists numerous drug related items found in the childs bedroom and throughout the house. Higdon is charged with making and possessing meth, as well as child neglect. His two daughters were home at the time. They were placed in the care of relatives.
