Survey for the Department of Parks & Recreation
Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan
(EVANSVILLE, IN)- The Department of Parks & Recreation is asking all residents to fill out a survey to submit their ideas and comments for the update to the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan. The survey will also ask about which park facilities and activities are the most popular. This information will give the Parks Department ideas about where it needs to improve or offer something new.
The Master Plan is used to help gauge the success of Department of Parks & Recreation, and to look at trends so the Parks Department can plan for the future and needs of the public. The Master Plan is updated every five years. It is a required document for the submission of grant applications and to receive state and federal funding.
The survey is available at the offices of the Department of Parks & Recreation, 100 E. Walnut Street, or you may access the survey online at www.usi.edu/parksurvey.asp
. You can also go on the City's webpage at www.evansvillegov.org and click on the Evansville Parks Survey under the Links Section.
The University of Southern Indiana developed it and is hosting the survey. It will also compile the results.
