Theres more help on the way for the repeated flooding on Evansvilles southeast side. The Evansville Utility Board has approved design work for the largest of four projects recommended by the Storm Water Task Force. Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel announced the $24 million project, which is bordered by Bayard Park, Weinbach, Madison Avenue and Rotherwood. 1500 people and 300 acres are involved. The plan is to build a separate storm sewer parallel to the existing combination sewer. Planning will take a least a year with construction tentatively scheduled to start in 2009.
