Although the events of September Eleventh happened hundreds of miles away, the tragedy still affected us here in the Tri-State.
On Tuesday, about 50 people in Gibson County chose to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in 2001 by volunteering their time.
It was part of the Gibson County United Way Day of Caring.
Volunteers helped out by painting, cleaning, and beautifying five different buildings in the area.
