Firefighters help save lives. It's part of the job. 38 members of the Evansville fire department are trying to do it another way this weekend... by shaving their heads. It's part of an event at Ri Ra's Irish pub this Sunday.. benefiting the St. Baldrick's Foundation for childhood cancer research. One firefighter is going to miss the campaign, but he wanted to do his part Tuesday afternoon. So Ed Parker of Hose House 1 said goodbye to his hair and hello to helping a worthy cause. The event is being held at Ri Ra's in downtown Evansville Sunday... from 12 until 6 p-m. If you'd like to make a donation, you can do it at Ri Ra's and several other locations, including Firefighters Credit Union on 4th Avenue, the Evansville Fire Department Administration building on S.E. 8th Street, or go online at www.stbaldricks.org.
