Former Mt. Carmel Snap-On Site Sold

The sale of a landmark industrial location in Mt. Carmel Illinois is complete.
The vacant Snap-on tools factory site on Oak street has been closed since spring of 2004.
The Mayor Tom Meeks told city officials at a city council meeting that a deal was reached with a Ohio based company - whose name was not disclosed.
City officials did not disclose what type of business may be done at the site.
The new owners will be working as soon as this week to demolish a major portion of the facility.
