A homeless Owensboro man is behind bars for his alleged part in several home burglaries.
Owensboro Police caught 51 year old Charles Ray Locke around 9:30 Thursday morning.
He is charged with 16 counts of burglary and 2 counts of attempted burglary.
Police say Locke admitted to riding his bike around the city and looking for homes without cars in the driveways.
When an officer stopped him Thursday morning, Locke handed him a social security card belonging to one of the burglary victims.
He is being held in the Daviess County Detention Center.
