Cass Avenue Storm Sewer Project

Construction on another city sewer system is now in the works. Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel announced plans for the Cass Avenue storm water project in a press conference today. The plans are for two separate sewer systems located south of Covert Avenue near the center of Boeke Road. One sewer will be slated for sanitary water and another for storm water.... replacing the old combined system. Residents in the area say theyll be happy to see construction begin. Deanna PPool says shes thrilled to death for herself and for neighbors, for the community. Mayor Weinzapfel says this 19 million dollar project. Once approved, work on the project is slated to begin in 2009 and to be finished by 2010.
