Vanderburgh County has a new commissioner.
Republican Jeff Korb was sworn in Monday morning.
Korb fills the former seat of Cheryl Musgrave, who is now working in Indianapolis.
Mike Whicker was first selected for the post, but quickly stepped down for health reasons.
Korb says hes excited and nervous about his new role of commissioner.
One of his goals is to meet with county department heads to hear their needs.
Hed also like to see a change in the meeting times to allow more community involvement.
