Indiana Conservation Officers testing a new side scan sonar tool at Angel Mounds boat ramp discovered a car believed to be stolen from the Evansville area. The Chrysler Sebring was pulled from the river Wednesday, along with two other vehicles. Authorities knew one of them was there. A Toyota truck went in to the water a few years back during high water when the river was too dangerous to send divers in. Conservation Officers training at the scene were using the new sonar tool that will help them locate submerged objects, including bodies of drowning victims, and firearms. They say it dramatically cuts down on the time it takes to locate submerged objects.
