Fire Department Treasurer Charged with Theft

The treasurer of a western Kentucky fire department is accused of stealing from the department. Trina Riggs faces one charge of theft by deception. She was the treasurer of the Nebo Fire Department. Kentucky State Police say in May, other members of the department asked them to look into what they thought were questionable banking practices by Riggs. Police have not said how much may have been stolen. Riggs is being held on a $10,000 bond.
