Woman Arrested for Child Neglect

An Evansville woman is facing neglect charges after reporting her son missing.
Victoria Burke flagged down police saturday saying her eight year old son was missing.
Police say she left the boy alone in her Washington Avenue home while she went to the store.
He was eventually found a few blocks away with a babysitter who says she stopped by burkes house to make plans to watch the boy that night.
When she showed up at the home she found him sitting outside alone so she took the boy to her house leaving a note.
Police say burke didnt see the note because her house was filled with trash, dirty dishes and dirty clothes.
