More Toys Made In China Recalled For Lead Paint Violations

(Washington, DC) -- Target stores are recalling about 350-thousand toy gardening tool sets and children's chairs made in Taiwan due to federal lead paint violations. Following its one-point-five-million-unit recall of Thomas and Friends railway toys in June, Illinois-based RC2 Corporation is now recalling another 200-thousand toys from the same product line because of lead paint. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Target sold the Happy Giddy gardening tools and Sunny Patch children's chairs from August of 2006 through last month. The Thomas and Friends recall covers five wooden railway toys, including a black cargo car, an olive green cargo box and green signal accessories. They were sold by retailers nationwide from March 2003 through this month. Consumers should take any of these recalled toys away from youngsters immediately and contact either Target or RC2 Corporation for refund information.
