Another tri-state volunteer fire department is in the midst of a rocky contract negotiation.
Knight Townships contract with its volunteer firefighters expires on December 31st.
The township trustee has been negotiating with the department for some time.
In the words of one firefighter, the negotiations have been "not going very well."
Evansville Mayor Jonathan Weinzapfel confirmed township trustee Linda Durham has asked the city to provide fire protectioin for the township.
