Around six-hundred soldiers returned to Lexington this morning. They spent about year serving in Iraq.
Family and friends welcomed them home with a celebration at Rupp Arena.
The 149th infantry mountain warriors provided security and conducted combat patrols.
Other men and women belong to the transportation company and ran daily supply missions for the army.
The troops were deployed in October of last year.
