The real facts about underage drinking took center stage at north high school. According to EVSC officials, a student survey on drinking last March revealed that, contrary to popular belief, 7 out of 10 EVSC high school students never or rarely drink alcohol. In a news conference Monday, school officials unveiled the "Most of Us" campaign which will work to promote that fact and get rid of the commonly held belief by students and parents that there is a lot more drinking going on. EVSC Project Director Valerie Bostick says its helps to bring to the forefront the conversation around underage drinking. She says it makes people question misconceptions that they might have about the level of use. According to Bostick underage alcohol abuse is the number one drug problem in the United States. More than 4500 high school students took part in the survey.
