What you put on your myspace page could be something you regret sooner rather than later. Thats the message author and lawyer C.L. Lindsay gave to freshmen at Kentucky Wesleyan college. He says whats on facebook or myspace.. could potentially affect your college life, job prospects and even your safety. Students he says can face punishment from a college or lose out on a future job because of whats posted online. Many students attending were surprised to hear just how serious their postings can be. KWC Freshman Katie Robertson says that she knew that companies did background checks but says you never really think what you say when you 18 years old is gonna affect you when youre 22,23 years old. Lindsay says for safety reasons the less personal information you put online the better. A good rule of thumb he says is not doing anything online that you wouldnt do offline.
