Chandler Annexation Concerns

The city of Chandler is about to grow and their taking part of Warrick county.
The town needs to increase their tax space so they are annexing part of the county.
They announced the preliminary plans Tuesday night at a town hall meeting.
The city says Warrick county has grown and they need to carve out their part before someone else gets it.
That part is 14 neigyhborhoods as far north as Gena Road.
A sidenote to this story - Ron Lucas the man leading this petition and Brian Lucas the town council president are brothers.
Ron says he doesnt want that to be a sticking point in this story because this is a business issues not a personal family issue.
As for where the annexaction goes from here?
The town plans to look at the preliminary plans and come together at the next town hall meeting to move forward.
