FARMING, ITS NOT AN EASY JOB, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR EQUIPMENT BEING STOLEN. THATS WHATS BEEN HAPPENING TO SEVERAL TRI-STATE FARMERS DURING THE PAST WEEKS. INVESTIGATORS WITH THE HENDERSON COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT STARTED GETTING SEVERAL REPORTS OF THEFTS AROUND THE MIDDLE OF SEPTEMBER. AT LEAST SIX A-T-VS, ASSORTED TOOLS, SPACE HEATERS AND MORE MISSING. THEN THEY STARTED GETTING TIPS ABOUT SUSPECTS. Det. Sgt. Book: "Received a tip from an individual that put us into a couple of boys." THOSE TWO BOYS, 19-YEAR OLD WALTER KEVIN ADAMS, AND 18-YEAR OLD JERRICK WALTERS. DEPUTIES SAY IT WAS BECOMING A LARGE OPERATION, MOVING AND SELLING EQUIPMENT BETWEEN HENDERSON ON MOUNT CARMEL. WITH HIGH GAS PRICES, FUEL HAS BECOME A HOT COMMODITY. AMONG THE STOLEN GOODS FOUND, MORE THAN 90 GALLONS OF DIESEL FUEL. SEVERAL FARMERS WERE VICTIMS OF THIS CRIME, LUCKILY MANY OF THEM WERE INSURED, AND NOW SOME OF THEM WILL GET THEIR EQUIPMENT RETURNED, EQUIPMENT NOT ALWAYS EASY TO PUT UNDER LOCK AND KEY. ADAMS HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH THREE COUNTS OF OF BURGLARY, AND THREE COUNTS OF THEFT. WALTERS WAS CHARGED WITH RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY. INVESTIGATORS SAY HOWEVER THAT MORE CHARGES AGAINST THE TWO ARE PENDING, AND MORE ARRESTS COULD COME
